If you offer a great package at cheap price, you are going to attract customers. Omnis really works this model. I had my website at a different company (Host gator). Their service was mostly fine, and the price was cheap. But I needed to upgrade, and didn't want to have to pay too much more to do so. I found Omnis, and their package was just as good as HG's high end package, but the price was the same as HG's low end package. Needless to say, I transferred my site over to Omnis. I've been able to grow my website and added more domains to my account. Service was just as good, and their tech guys helped me get everything transferred and set up.

Omnis is a real great web company for all types, and levels, of internet users. I have one site with them that is for my business, and my wife has one for the family. Omnis is able to cater to both of our needs at the same time and with the same web hosting package. A web designer handles my business site, and Omnis gives us all the bells and whistles that we need to make it really work for my landscaping business. The control panel and site builder are simple enough that my wife can easily use them. And if she can do it, I would say most anyone can.

Read about Omnis on this ratings website, went through all the good reviews and decided to go with Omnis. So I want to return the favor and give my own personal input about Omnis. I can say that I am in complete agreement with all of the favorable reviews. The setup was quick. I did an online chat with their support, and it was fast and easy. I'm only a few months into my account, but really glad to have found Omnis on this site.

The few times that I've had to deal with their tech support, usually because of some complicated script required by a customer, they have always been able to accommodate me and doing whatever necessary to help configure the website. I'm a hard to satisfy customer, Omnis has definitely pulled it off and continue to be a rock solid company.

Omnis is a great find, and worth every penny. Looked around for different providers before finally finding Omnis. My site is professional for my business, so didn't want just any web hosting company. I had called a few different companies, but Omnis support really stood out with their knowledge and professional behavior. Their pricing was competitive, and I love the fact that they provide me with unlimited disk space and other features. They helped me get my site set up, and have always been great about any fixes that I need. Even as my site keeps on getting bigger with my business, Omnis has always been able to accommodate me.

Omnis "unlimited" is clearly not unlimited. Without notice, Omnis placed a throttle on my site which took me from very good speeds for years to a point where loading a simple 20k page took well over a minute. Here is their response:

"Your web site is using 11.2 GB of disk space. The average is 254MB
with the maximum normal usage being 2.0GB. Your usage is 5 times
greater then the normal so your resources were limted in the 5th
highest or 5th (of 10) most limiting tier."

We never experienced a problem with speed until now, and they chose to lie to me. Customer service is hit and miss through the years, but the most recent call was infuriating. It could be true that they now will throttle your account to about 2% of its normal if they notice you are "using" (i.e., storing) more than 10 GB of space.

Omnis host my business website (A24rent.com), and I can only say that they have been great to work with. They helped me set up the site back in 2005, and have always been able to make the changes that I need. I've always been able to get someone on the phone. And the best thing is that I know they are all in one office. So if the tech support guy can't answer my questions, they just ask one of the engineers in the next room. Much better than having to wait a few days for a response.

The web hosting is great but customer service is awful. I have never experienced customer service as bad as I have with Omnis. I think they have teenagers taking their support calls and you can tell they have no interest in helping you. I often wonder if I dialed a wrong number when calling them because you can't tell it's a company. Also, there is no email support. I have never received a response to my email questions...I think the emails go to another galaxy. It's shameful to have such a great product with such poor support. I don't know what's going on with them but they are definitely underperforming. As for recommending them, if you know what you are doing and feel you will never have a question...they are great. If you feel you may have a least one question during your lifetime of hosting, find another company to use.
